Detox Made Yummy.

Happy Monday!

With Thanksgiving (still) on my waistline and yet another weekend of gluttony, I decided to start my week with a mini 1 day detox cleanse. “Detox” sounds terribly boring and yucky, but Pressed Juicery made it yummy enough to convert this salad hating girl into a total juice-a-holic! What made it even easier… Every morning, I woke up to a cute little cardboard box containing my freshly pressed juices delivered right to my door!

I got introduced to Carly, a Co-Founder of Pressed Juicery earlier this summer and tried my first 3 day detox cleanse. I allowed myself to eat bits of vegetables and fruits during the cleanse which helped my ‘fix’ of wanting to chew.  I didn’t feel to badly about this, because my objective was to give my body a break from meats, processed and fatty foods which I think was achieved. :)

3 things I want to mention:

  1. The juices aren’t cheap. But there’s nothing more important than your health, right? The 3 day cleanse was a bit much for me. Instead, I like to do a 1 day mini cleanse once every 3-4 weeks (costs about $50-$60) .
  2. 8 bottles of juices were difficult for me to drink each day. Just so much to drink! I was in the bathroom every 2 hours! Guilt is what got me through the 3 days. I owed it to my body for all the glasses of water I didn’t drink and for my unhealthy eating habits.
  3. I had to make sure that I didn’t surround myself with temptations: other foods… so If you’re thinking of trying it, pick a week/weekend where you don’t have to be around other foods.

Here are some of my favorite flavors. Yum Yum.

Pressed Juicery has 2 locations (Malibu and Brentwood)… until today!
Congrats to Pressed Juicery on opening their 3rd location in West Hollywood!~
If you’re in the West Hollywood area (8714 Santa Monica Blvd.to be exact), please stop by and try my favorites: Almond Milk, Greens 2, Pineapple Pear Ginger Mint, and Watermelon Mint.

Have a great Monday!~
